Maximize Your Earnings and Rent a Salon Suite

By March 9, 2022Blog
how to succeed in a salon suite rental

When you rent a salon suite, and when you operate your own business from that salon suite, you WILL maximize your earnings.  It is our experience, at Salon & Spa Galleria, that our clients make 30%-66% more, per year, running their own independent beauty salons than they did working for commissions, for someone else, in some established beauty salon.

But . . .

And we will talk about that “but” in this article.

We are Salon & Spa Galleria, serving the Greater Fort Worth area with seventeen salon suite rental locations. Call us at 972-691-7300 for more information and to arrange for a tour of one of our salon suite rental locations.

How a salon suite rental business model works

For those not familiar with the salon space rental business model, talented beauticians, those in the beauty industry, rent a salon suite, or salon booth, from a company like Salon and Spa Galleria.  The rental fees can be as low as $50 per week, or as expensive as $400 per week, depending upon the size of the salon rental space.

From that rental they operate their own independent business, just like any other independent business owner. They pay for insurance. They pay for secondary costs not covered in the rental agreement. They do their own accounting, or hire an accountant. They make decisions like hours of operation and advertising.  They decorate the suite in an manner they want.

What does it cost to rent a salon booth rental?

This is always the first question we are asked at Salon & Spa Galleria, but all we can tell you, with certainly, is our rental cost and the amenities included in that cost. A salon booth rental can cost as little as $50 per week at select location. Included in that cost are utilities, WiFi, an HDTV, furniture, laundry facility, break room, a web page, a press release, 24/7 access, a concierge, security monitoring, and the support of our staff.

Your costs will include decorating your suite, paying for a business license and insurance, paying for any marketing you do, and paying for inventory for any product you plan on selling.  It is impossible to estimate what those secondary costs will add up to be, but for the frugal-minded, DIY go-getter, it is possible to open your own independent business for between $500-$1000.

But . . . do you have what it takes to be successful?

With that in mind, we can say with certainty that our clients average, at the very least, 30% more income per month than they made working for someone else.  Many of our clients make 60% more per month, and that kind of income boost adds up very quickly.

But . . . this only happens if you are a hard-worker and you are a self-starter.  Not everyone is.  Your business will only succeed if you are willing to put in the hours and put in the effort . . . and, if you are talented.  We say these things not to discourage you but to be totally transparent.  Not everyone is cut out to be a business owner and to handle the pressure and decisions a business owner incurs.

So, what about you?  Are you made from the Right Stuff?
