How much does it cost to rent a salon suite?
We cannot give you a specific answer to this question. At Salon & Spa Galleria, we have salon suites for rent for under $100 per week. We also have larger salon suites which rent for $400 per week. Prices will vary depending upon the rental company you work with and the size of the suite you rent.
In addition, you will need a business license, business cards, liability insurance and, depending again on the rental agency, you may need to rent furniture for your salon suite. Also, if you plan on selling product in your salon suite, you will need to pay for the initial inventory of product to be sold.
We have clients who opened their doors for business with as little as $500. We have had clients who have spent considerably more than that.
What is the risk factor?
There is always a risk factor when you start a business. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you. Even the best business person will struggle in a down economy, and even the worst business person can do well in a great economy if the stars align properly.

Again, there is no way to give a specific answer to this question. We can only tell you that renting a salon suite lease and going it alone means you keep 100% of the profits instead of working for someone else for 40% commissions. Is the sky the limit by running your own business? Of course! Do you have what it takes to reach the sky? Only you can answer that.
Are all rental locations the same?
No, not all rental locations and rental agencies are the same. The main difference you will find is in the amenities offered with the salon suite. At Salon & Spa Galleria, we include utilities in the rental fee. We include marketing and business workshops. We include a large-screen television in every suite.
