“I was always into skin care,” says makeup artist/esthetician Rick Edwards, owner of Skin Care By Rick, presented by Salon and Spa Galleria. “I have always been a people person, and at an early point in my career, though I certainly could have continued pursuing restaurant and hotel management – for which I also had a talent – I heard a great calling. So ,I went to school to become an esthetician, and the rest is history.”
Rick trained at the Christine Valmy School of cosmetology in Houston Texas. Twenty-eight years later, this hard-working native Texan and resident of Dallas since 2010, can honestly say that his chosen profession still never feels like work to him – that’s how much he loves the job he does at Make-up and Skin Care By Rick.
“I always take time with my client and never overbook,” explains Rick. “I like to schedule more time than is needed, so there is no need for me to rush, as you have your own private beauty session and my undivided attention.”
