Weatherford, Texas – January 16th, 2022 – Rhoda Rodriguez has joined the Weatherford branch of Salon and Spa Galleria, offering the benefits of massage therapy to the local community.
Rodriguez got her license in massage therapy about 4 years ago, at the age of 58. After a long career as a housekeeper in Texas, she decided to enter the health and wellness sector, which has been her passion for years.
“I loved working as a housekeeper, but my grandkids were grown and I had been toying with the idea of doing something that allowed me to make direct impact on people’s lives, something that was more one-on-one because I love that personal connection. I guess I am old school that way,” Rodriguez says with a chuckle.
When most people her age are considering retirement, she is starting a new chapter in her life with the enthusiasm and drive of a young adult. She wasn’t afraid to start from scratch and went to the Texas Center for Massage Therapy in Arlington, Texas, to learn a variety of healing modalities.
With expertise in lymphatic drainage massage, deep tissue massage, and cupping therapy, Rodriguez focuses on full body balancing to flush out the toxins and help her clients feel better from inside out.
“When clients come to me, we discuss what their goal is. Some want to reduce their pain symptoms and rehabilitate old injuries, while others just want to manage their stress levels better. Depending on their needs, I create individualized plans so that each client gets the most out of their massage,” said Rodriguez.
“I can sense exactly where a person is hurting. I’m very intuitive,” she adds.
After getting her massage license, Rodriguez pursued the medical side of the massage therapy, studying under chiropractors and physical therapists to gain a more holistic understanding of the human body. Her dedication to learning has made her an expert in multiple enhanced techniques suited for all body types and conditions.
“Whether you need a soft-pressure massage for maximum relaxation or something deeper to relieve chronic pain, I can help,” she says. “I take great pride in being able to use touch and energy of my hands to manipulate the muscles, so my clients always leave my table feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.”
Rodriguez services at the Lakota Wellness Massage include integrative reflexology, deep tissue massage, Himalayan hot stones massage, sports massage, and several other therapeutic body treatments. Each massage includes hot towels, CBD oils, and essential oils such as lavender and eucalyptus for relaxation.
If you or a loved one are looking for a skilled and compassionate massage therapist who can help with injury rehabilitation, improved body motion, enhanced immunity, increased flexibility and circulation, and reduced stress and fatigue, book an appointment with Rhoda. The CBD oils, lotions, and massage cream that Rodriguez personally uses are also available for sale at her studio.
She is available by appointment only as of now. You can call or text her at (817) 793-4257 or send her an email at [email protected] to reach her.
