The studio is started by Deirdre Sutton-Weathers who graduated from the Institute of Medical Ultrasound in Atlanta, GA and has over 14 years of experience in the industry.
“Offering expecting parents a chance to see the beauty and miracle of life makes my day like nothing else,” says Deirdre. “It is such a gift to see parents bond with their kids before they are born.”
Her studio, Baby’s First Impression, is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology for obtaining advanced 3D and 4D sonograms of the baby. Unlike traditional 2D scans where the image produced is a blurry grey outline, 3D and 4D scans allow you to see your baby’s features such as the ears, nose, mouth, and the shape of the eyes.
“If you want a super clear and lifelike 3-dimensional picture of your baby, a 3D sonogram is the best option,” explains Deirdre. “But if you want to take it a step further and get a video of your moving baby, that’s what a 4D scan is for.”
At Baby’s First Impression, Deirdre not only offers sonograms but some really cute customized products as well, like heartbeat bears and gender-reveal smoke cannons. The precious sound of your little one’s heartbeats can be recorded during your 3D ultrasound session and the recorder will be placed in a fluffy teddy bear. “Some parents love the idea of listening to the sound of their baby’s heartbeat before, and sometimes even after, the baby’s arrival,” adds Deirdre.
